"What's that supposed to be..."

...Is probably the question I get the most. I'm fine with that, as long as those asking the question don't expect a response in return. My art is supposed to represent both everything and nothing. Joy and sadness. Dreams and reality. It is supposed to offer, not a view into my soul, but into the viewers' soul. What someone sees in my art says a lot about who they are and how they view the world.

Where does my art come from? I like to say it's my brain on canvas. It's my thoughts, emotions and fears coming through my fingertips, expressing themselves through colourful acrylics.

Each piece is inspired by something - a colour, a breakup, a travel experience. That's why each piece is unique and tells a different story.

Every piece takes hours to complete. Each one requires me to slow down, think, and react. Each one is time-consuming and slow. This is in stark contrast to every other aspect of my life: quick, fast-paced and rushed. There is beauty in slowness.

For those looking at my art, I hope you feel moved by the movement of colours and shapes. I hope you look closely and realize that anything is possible. I hope you try to find your own meaning in the art; do you see a seahorse, a rocket ship, a skyscraper? My goal through expressing my own soul, emotions, and feelings, is to get you to think about, and deeply feel, your own.

Fast Abstraction: Sometimes, when things are moving just a bit too slow, I have the need to create a "fast" piece of art. These are the results.

The art you see on this website is for sale (unless already sold). Limited edition prints are also available upon request.
